I hold a Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Human-Computer Interaction (co-major) from Iowa State University. I am a human-centered researcher, passionate educator, and currently work as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Instructional Systems and Workforce Development Department at Mississippi State University.

Research Experience
My research lies at the intersection of learning sciences, educational technology, and human-computer interaction – three fields that inform my work on employing human-centered approaches to design technology tools such as learning analytics dashboards to improve teaching and learning processes. My current work aims to examine how instructors’ teaching strategies and methodologies may be improved by interpreting data visualizations (i.e., dashboards) and how to make sense of data, reflect on it, and act accordingly.
Teaching Experience
My primary goal in teaching is to better engage students and improve the teaching and learning experiences through incorporating different innovative technology tools. I utilize human-centered design approaches in my teaching practices with the core tenets of building empathy, problem solving, and co-design processes.
